Sources: the Federal President's decree on rank titles of 30.08.2021, the
Bundesbesoldungsgesetz, the Wehrpflichtgesetz and the Soldatenlaufbahn-
verordnung as in force; government reports to the Bundestag. Pay amounts
from May 2026 are advance payments (Abschläge), not yet enacted by law; the
site says so.
